​​While attending seminary at Emory University I immersed myself into the Native American community participating in Sweat Lodges and Smudging rituals. I was taught step by step ho to carry out a home blessing by the gracious people of the community.
Sage is burned in smudging ceremonies to drive out bad spirits, feelings, or influences, and also to keep bad spirits from entering the area where a ceremony takes place.

           Non-Religious Home Blessings

The home blessing is an ancient tradition that invites positive energy into your home. Your home is an extension of your body and spirit. As you give to your home, you give to yourself. As you might have experienced, your space reflects and affects your inner life. If you bless your home and lavish it with love, it becomes a gracious holder of your dreams. We can create a home blessing that reflects your hopes and dreams for your new space.  I also re-dedicate homes when you feel there has been negative energy in the past and you would like to create a new, fresh experience in your home.
